Shopping Policy


Confirmation

All orders will receive either an email or telephone confirmation within 48 hours of when you place the order. If you do not receive confirmation, please email us at info@galasportusa.com or call (301) 263 9594.

 

Availability

Galasport USA does not guarantee availability on all products. Sometimes the demand for the item exceeds its supply. We will do our best to ensure product availability, but occasionally the stock runs out. We will notify you immediately if an item you ordered is out of stock.

 

Returns & Exchanges

Galasport USA will happily accept returns or exchanges within 10 days of the date of purchase. The product must be in new condition and unused. We do not accept returns or exchanges on Custom-Made, Close-Out or On-Sale items. Those products are sold “AS IS”. We also suggest insuring the product if sending it back to Galasport USA. Once we receive a product,  we will inspect it and credit your account after satisfactory inspection. If your product is damaged or breaks during use, please see the Warranty section below for details.

 

Shipping Info

Shipping prices for addresses in the continental United States via UPS ground.

Accessory (Per order. Covers all accessories purchased): $9.00

Canoe paddles and break-downs (Per order. Covers all canoe and break-down paddles purchased): $15.00

Kayak paddles (Per order. Covers all kayak paddles purchased): $18.00

Standard delivery time for all accessories and paddles is 5-7 business days.
For kayaks, delivery time depends on stock availability.

We are able to expedite shipping on some accessories and paddles. If you would like your item shipped via UPS 2nd day air or any other UPS expedited shipping service, please call (301) 263 9594 for a quote and to place your order.

Warranty

If a product is defective, damaged during shipping, or is not what you ordered you must contact us immediately. If you received something that you did not order, or it was damaged in the mail, we will pay for your shipping charges and replace it with the correct item.

While Galasport strives to achieve the strongest possible shafts and blades in the world, sometimes our products do break under the extreme forces of rocks and currents. If that happens we will do our best to replace your broken paddle or fix it for a price within a certain time period of the purchase.

 

Warranty Timetable

 

 

 

For all paddles (kayak and canoe) under the Whitewater section of our website, the blades of the paddles are guaranteed for up to 6 months from the date of purchase. The shafts for those paddles are also guaranteed for 6 months from the date of purchase. This warranty does not include “wear and tear” on paddle blades. Only broken, unusable paddles will be replaced.

For all paddles (kayak and canoe) under the Slalom, Down River, Kids, and Polo sections of our website , the blades and shafts of all the paddles are guaranteed for up to 3 months from the date of purchase. This warranty does not include “wear and tear”  on the paddles or small cracks. Only broken blades or shafts will be replaced within the 3 month time period.

All paddles (kayak and canoe) under the Recreational section have a 1 year warranty. This warranty does not include “wear and tear” on the paddle.

All kayaks and gear (skirts, paddle bags ect…) sold on the web site have no warranty.

If a blade or the shaft of your paddle breaks outside of the time period allotted for your type of paddle, we can still fix or replace the damaged part most of the time. For this service, we will charge only the cost of the new part and shipping costs;  there will be no labor fees.

Used Gear

All used gear sold on the web site is sold as is. It has no warranty. It cannot be replaced or exchanged for any reason.

 

Liability Release

All aspects of kayaking can be extremely fun and rewarding activities, but they can also be very dangerous. We at Galasport USA encourage you to go outside and enjoy yourself, but understand that kayaking can pose a significant risk to your well-being, and could result in serious injury or death. Galasport USA does not assume any responsibility for actions resulting from the purchase of our products on this site. Through the purchase, you are stating that you understand the risks posed and assume responsibility for your own actions. Galasport USA also does not assume any responsibility from injuries sustained while kayaking if a product sold on this site fails during use. You are solely responsible for any injury, including death, sustained during any activity while using one of our products.
